PICTURED HERE IS COLONIA’S RAY SALUCCIO,
BUSINESSMAN, INVENTOR, AND ENTREPRENEUR,
AND JOB CREATOR FOR OUR VETERANS.

Ray Saluccio is always seeking the next best thing.
“Solar energy is an emerging industry with a multitude of opportunities that I
took advantage of with both of my companies, EarthSure and SolarCure.”

HOW DID YOUR UNCLE, WHO FOUGHT IN THE BATTLE OF THE BULGE,
INSPIRE YOU?

“My uncle Mike (God Father) was a very quiet man. Not until his death did we find out that
he fought in many battles and was awarded many medals for his service. He was a humble
man. He did not mention his military achievements for our country. As a token of my gratitude
to the brave men and women in the military, past and present, SolarCure was created to help
both veterans and veteran based organizations.”

TELL ME, IN LAYMAN’S LANGUAGE, WHAT IS SOLARCURE?

“SolarCure is a company that uses the Adopt-a-Solar-Panel /Solar Powered SEP strategies
to bring green branding to businesses that adopt solar panels for non-profits. Our current focus is
veteran oriented organizations such as the VFW and American Legion.”

HOW CAN SOLARCURE HELP VETS FIND JOBS?

“SolarCure creates numerous opportunities in sales, marketing, and all the trades associated
in solar panel installations, (i.e. electricians, laborers, engineers). My design of this company
states that SolarCure’s network of solar installation companies, have to support the veterans

by HIRING A MINIMUM OF 1 VETERAN PER INSTALLATION.”

ANY OTHER REASONS YOU ARE REACHING OUT TO VETS, RATHER THAN
JUST TRYING TO MAKE A PROFIT?

“The beauty of our business model is to help veterans in need of jobs, while creating a
profitable company. We are a for-profit company.”

YOU’VE WON SOME AWARDS I SEE ON YOUR OFFICE WALLS. TELL ME ABOUT THEM.

“They are, a 2011 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur Finalist award, a 2013 Prestigious Seven
Seals award, a 2011 Patent Allowance #7,999,407, granted for a new form alternative energy
producing turbine, and 5 additional patents pendings, published in the United States patent office
in D.C..”

TALK ABOUT YOUR PATENT REGISTRATION FOR ENERGY GLEANED FROM AN AIR CONDITIONING UNIT.

“I was awarded a patent in 2011 for my method of creating energy from HVAC air condiitioning systems.”

HOW CAN YOUR IDEAS HELP OUR OFTEN OVERWORKED POWER GRIDS?

“By RECLAIMING wasted energy from the HVAC systems, and converting it to electricity to
be sent back to the grid, it helps re-energize the grid. In regards to SolarCure, it helps increase the use of solar energy throughout the United States through its unique Adopt-a-Panel program.”

HOW HAS YOUR PAST EXPERIENCE IN PLAYING FOOTBALL, INFLUENCED YOUR BUSINESS PERSPECTIVE?

“Some ‘downs’ you fail, and some downs you succeed. By keeping the goal in mind and being persistent, one way or another, you will make it to the end zone.”

FAVORITE MOVIE?

“Remember the Titans.”

FAVORITE FOOD, AND SNACK?

“Sushi. And my favorite snack is a tomato sandwich, consisting of bread, mayo, peppers,
a little salt, and tomatoes.”

FAVORITE SPORT TEAMS, AND WHY?

“Anything from the New York and New Jersey area, because that’s where I’m from, and
I never forget my roots.”

Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce welcomes SolarCure

Raymond Saluccio, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SolarCure, www.solarcure.us,  and Karen Barnes, President of the Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce, (WMCC), www.woodbridgechamber.com,   announced a campaign to advance and foster the sustainability of Veteran’s interests and renewable energy within the Woodbridge business community. SolarCure, a “cause marketing” company headquartered in Woodbridge Township, is joining WMCC in concert with its plan to install a solar panel array on the premises of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Memorial Post 6061, located in the Colonia section of Woodbridge Township. Community businesses will be engaged to support Post 6061 through the SolarCure “Adopt a Solar Panel” program. Mr. Saluccio noted that the SolarCure “Adopt a Solar Panel” program enhances on-line “brand reputation” through the distribution and use of innovative search engine optimized (SEO) press releases and social media techniques. “Through the visionary leadership of Mayor John E. McCormac, Chief of Staff Caroline Erhich, Township Council and Administration Leadership, Woodbridge Township has a well-deserved national reputation as a municipal leader on the green and renewable energy front”, noted Saluccio. “As a Woodbridge-based business, we are honored to play a role in helping both the environment and the well-being of the men and women of the US Armed Services who have and now stand the watch in defense of our national interests”.  Saluccio added that the SolarCure “Adopt a Solar Panel Program” will allow Colonia VFW Post 6061 to operate with little or no energy cost in addition to not paying for the actual cost of installation.

Karen Barnes noted the interest of the Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce in welcoming SolarCure. “Our Chamber has had a long history of supporting the growth and development of businesses of all sizes”, said Barnes.  “In fact, we will celebrate this rich tradition next year during our 50th anniversary year; we look forward to SolarCure being an important part of our plans”.

Jerry Masin, President of SolarCure, highlighted the important component of business sustainability in the SolarCure and WMCC relationship.  As a Small Business Counselor with the SCORE Association and an Employer Outreach Coordinator for the NJ Chapter of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), I am pleased to be part of SolarCure’s plans to have positive effect on the economic viability of local and national business communities”, Masin said.  “It is a distinct pleasure to be working with Ray Saluccio, an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist, often called the “Thomas Edison” of Woodbridge Township, our SolarCure colleagues, WMCC and Woodbridge Township as we build the important connection between improved business brand outcomes and the causes of renewable energy and Veteran’s interests”.

What is “cause marketing” ?

Cause Marketing

“Cause marketing” or “cause-related marketing” is a type of marketing that involves the cooperative efforts of a for profit business and a non-profit organization for mutual benefit.

It is not a new concept and has been around from as early as 1974 but usually only benefits two entities; the business and the non profit organization.

(A fairly common  example would be a restaurant giving away 10% of proceeds to a local charity. However, this only benefits the TWO)

SolarCure’s unique “Adopt-a-Solar-Panel” Program goes beyond the traditional concepts of Cause Related Marketing by providing benefits for multiple entities/people.

In fact, SolarCure has become a nationally-recognized catalyst for cause marketing programs that benefits the environment, non profits, U.S. veterans, and domestic businesses.

The “Adopt-a-Solar-Panel™” Program is a Cause Marketing Strategy that benefits:

Businesses: positive public relations, improved customer relations, additional marketing opportunities, and financial rewards

Non-profits: Lowers or eliminates electricity bills, saved money can be put towards their actual mission goals

Veterans: More jobs for returning U.S. Veterans

Environment: Lower carbon emissions from the use of renewable energy
