GATEWAY REGIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WELCOMES SOLARCURE

Chamber and new member to partner to bring renewable energy to local VFW Post and support member branding efforts

Elizabeth, NJ – September 18, 2013 – The Gateway Regional Chamber of Commerce, www.gatewaychamber.com, has announced that SolarCure, www.solarcure.us, a “cause marketing” company headquartered in Woodbridge, NJ, has joined the chamber and that the Gateway and SolarCure will partner to launch a campaign to advance and foster the sustainability of veterans interests and renewable energy within the greater Union County business community.

With the support of the Gateway Chamber, SolarCure plans to install a solar panel array on the premises of a Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) post somewhere in Union County, according to Raymond Saluccio, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SolarCure.  The array will enable the post to operate with little or no energy costs.

Chamber businesses will be engaged to support the local VFW post through the SolarCure “Adopt a Solar Panel” program in which supporting businesses sponsor panel(s). In return these businesses receive enhanced online “brand recognition” through the distribution and use of innovative search engine optimized (SEO) press releases and social media techniques, Saluccio said.

The “Adopt a Solar Panel” program is a natural fit for the Gateway Chamber, according to chamber president Jim Coyle. “The Gateway Regional Chamber of Commerce has long been noted for our innovation in programming that benefits both our members and the community, such as our strong affinity programs that brings added value to chamber membership through discounted products and services, our efforts to connect the business and education community for mutual benefit and our close relationship with local governments,” Coyle said.

“Partnering with SolarCure to enhance the brand of our members while assisting veterans and promoting energy sustainability is a perfect fit for us. We look forward to working with SolarCure on this program.”

Saluccio, an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist who often is called the “Thomas Edison” of Woodbridge Township, noted that we are honored to play a role in helping both the environment and the well-being of the men and women of the US Armed Services who have and now stand the watch in defense of our national interests.  “Our collaboration with the Gateway Regional of Chamber of Commerce and its member businesses is a great example of cause marketing at its best”.

With 1,200 members, the Gateway Regional Chamber of Commerce is the largest chamber in the North-Central New Jersey and New York metropolitan areas, according to Coyle. Hosting more than 180 events annually, the chamber has a strong reputation for networking, business development/growth, educational business seminars and business support, he said. It is the primary chamber in Union County and comprises local chambers in Union County and regional networking groups, he added.

Jerry Masin, President of SolarCure, highlighted the important component of business sustainability in the SolarCure relationship with the Gateway Chamber.

“As a Small Business Counselor with the SCORE Association and an Employer Outreach Coordinator for the New Jersey Chapter of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), I am pleased to be part of SolarCure’s plans to have a positive effect on the economic viability of local and national business communities,” Masin said. “It is a distinct pleasure to be working with the Gateway Chamber as we build the important connection between improved business brand outcomes and the causes of renewable energy and veteran’s interests.”
