  170 pounds of coal and 300 pounds of carbon dioxide being released into the atmosphere.
  
  
• The amount of sunlight that hits the Earth’s surface in one hour is enough to power
  the entire world for a year.
  
  
• To light a 100 watt light bulb for 10 hours takes1 kilowatt-hour of electricity.
  
  
• Solar Generated Electricity is measured in kilowatt-hours – 1 kilowatt = 1000 watts
  
  
• The USA makes up 5% of the world’s population, but uses more than 26% of the world’s energy.
