WOODBRIDGE, NJ–(Dec 4, 2013) – BCB Community Bank and Bank of Woodbridge, a Division of BCB Community Bank, has announced the bank is sponsoring a portion of a solar panel installation to be installed on a local Veterans of Foreign Wars post in order to provide clean, renewable energy and financial savings to the post while supporting local veterans.

BCB Community Bank is the newest participant of the Adopt-a-Solar-Panel™ Program of marketing services company SolarCure. The program combines the causes of green energy, veterans in need of employment — SolarCure employs veterans for promotion and installation — and support for the nonprofit community. Program participants receive the benefit of green branding and publicity from their sponsorship.

BCB Community Bank has long been committed to supporting the communities it serves, comprising Bayonne, Hoboken, Jersey City, South Orange, Woodbridge and Monroe Township. BCB Community Bank recently sponsored the BCB 4 Mile Bayonne Bridge Run to benefit disabled war veterans through Hope for the Warriors and The Independence Fund. It is also supporting a local VFW post and veterans employed through the SolarCure Adopt-a-Solar-Panel Program. This is consistent with the bank’s philosophy of giving back to the community, especially wounded veterans.
